NEUE IDSH602W dishwasher Won’t fill with water

by / Monday, 08 May 2017 / Published in

Dishwater 18 months old - absolutely fine works great every time some times used twice per day. I loaded it and switched it on as usual and came back later heard it making a continuous beep with sound with LED flashing once but continuous and found that the dishwasher tablet was still in its compartment and no water was filling the machine - has not worked since - any ideas?

I will try and help with this problem with your NEUE IDSH602W dishwasher

I am not very familiar with this model but you either have a problem with the water supply going to the machine, the water valve may be faulty, or the inlet turbine system is not working correctly or may be blocked

If you can give us the full Ern number then I might be able to assist you further

If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me. all the best Paul.

    Hi Paul

Thanks for your help so far….my dishwasher looks different to that in the video although I am sure in principle it is the same. i have attached the full product details: IDSH602W, Type GHE623DA2, PNC 911 539 117 04, S/N 53280026 50Hz 2200w

I checked the inlet hose where it enters the machine as an aquarium size piece of transparent tube and removed the clip and pulled it away and drained off a small amount of water from this hose to see if that was causing any blockage but it made no difference. One thing I wanted to ask is that the inlet hose is full connected to the mains water tap which is on but I was expecting to see water coming through the inlet hose and gushing out when I pulled it away but it didn’t. Could that mean there is a problem with the inlet hose further up towards where it meets the mains water tap? My gut feel is that the problem lies in this area. Should I just get a new inlet hose and try that? On the other hand I think the hose may have some kind of an anti flood device value built into it as there is a large piece of plastic casing/housing at the top of the inlet hose just between where it attaches to the mains water tap attachment and the machine itself.

    Hi Paul.

I just wanted to let you know that I have fixed my dishwasher. My gut instinct was right as the problem lie in the inlet hose. This particular dishwasher has a valve built into the inlet hose itself and what had happened is that the value had become blocked and so no water was getting through the valve in the inlet hose and thus the machine was not filling up

I bought a new inlet hose compatible with this particular model and it is working fine now. I think the reason this happened is that I had turn the pressure up on our mains water a few weeks ago and when I did this the dishwasher was running. I think turning up the pressure on the water caused the valve to shut off. Not sure why it should do this but it is probably a design feature to prevent flooding from an unexpected surge of water. In future if I ever need to turn the mains water off/on again. I will ensure the dishwasher is switched off when i do this. It would be worth referencing this particular issue in your video’s as this type of inlet hose is common with recent dishwashers or so it seems to me.
