I will try and help with this problem

Good morning Ken, thanks for your question. The Whirlpool WFW9250WW00 has a split drum design. I can't see what you see, so I'll rely on my experience. I've added an exploded diagram of your drum below.

The drum is divided into two halves, and if the seal isn't sealing properly, water might leak from the side or top of the drum when it spins. It's also possible that there's a hairline crack in the drum. Check the plastic closely to ensure it's not cracked.

Another potential source of water could be the soapbox hose connecting to the drum. It might not be sealing correctly or have a hole in it. Inspect this closely and make sure it has a good seal on both the soapbox and the washing machine drum.

If the drum is damaged, it might be caused by a small item of clothing or a coin that got caught while spinning and cracked the drum's side. Alternatively, the spider connecting to the drum through the bearings could have a hairline fracture, causing the drum to warp during high spin and wear into its side.

I've attached a couple of videos below to help with your repairs. However, until we know where the water is coming from, I can't provide much more assistance. If you face any issues, consider taking a video of the leak and its source, upload it to YouTube, and send me the link.

Also Make sure the sump hose and pump are completely clear. If the machine can't empty water in the set time, it could push water to the top. The drum should be empty in under 40 seconds. If there's any water left, this could be an issue. As the spin reaches 1000 rpm, the water might be forced out of the soapbox, causing problems.

I hope this helps, Ken. Have a great day!
