I will try and help with this problem about Beko Wmb71231b Washing Machine
Hi Scott, it seems like the spider on the bearing assembly might have collapsed or the drum could be warped from overloading. This would cause it to wear through the side of the machine. But don't worry, since your electrical system is working perfectly, you can easily find a second-hand drum assembly if you're up for replacing it.
Start by searching for your full model number, Bico WMB 7123B, on eBay, Facebook Marketplace and other websites that sell used items. You should be able to find one with an electrical fault for around £30-£40. Then, you can take the drum out of that machine and put it into yours.
I know it's a bit of work, but considering a new machine costs £350 and swapping the drums should take no more than two hours, you'll save quite a bit of money. I've attached a video below showing how to replace the drum in a Bico washing machine. It's better to replace the whole drum assembly rather than trying to fix it. I hope this helps, and have a great weekend!
