I will try and help with this problem these old part numbers have replaced by 00626210 oven rack shelf bush kit
old part numbers where 00609091 00611119 00644828
the fault with this part is that the cast aluminum insert brakes in half and a lot of people think it is the incorrect part. the other half of the broken piece falls into the outer part of the oven which you cannot see until you strip the cooker. I have put the instructions below and a diagram to help you.
Before ordering the kit make sure your model of the cooker is listed in the item before purchasing as there are some other types that are slightly different and won't fit like 00420673
- You will need to remove the cooker from its housing to be able to work on this.
- you will have to remove the outer side panel on the cooker and remove the insulation to gain access to the clip area.
- The cast aluminium insert is the parts that normally brakes in half. this part is fitted from the inside of the oven cavity.
- The clip slides in to the aluminum insert once fitted, this is fitted from the outside of the cooker. The clip holds it tight to the oven cavity.
- you will need to replace the insulation covering the clip
- test the Shelf mounting kit that it is operating correctly
- put the cooker panels back and slide it back in its housing

I did not succeed in removing the housing – how do you do that? Can you remove only the side panel?
hi! this is a great site!!
i’m struggling with a broken off oven rack bushing. it wasnt entirely clear to me what you mean by step5: replace the insulation covering the clip. does this mean i need to purchase more than just the bushings?
thanks!!
