Bosch WTV76100 Tumble Dryer Keeps Stopping… Replacing TNY226 PN
Hi Again, Rob Gale here from Nova Scotia Canada... I got the Bosch WTV76100 Tumble Dryer's old switch off, but scratched up the board a bit... okay... It would make you reach for a beer with tears in your eyes. On the side with 4 legs, there seems to be copper connecting the middle two legs, and on the 3 leg side, there seems to be copper going the pads that are side by side... I have not soldered the new switch on yet was I wanted to touch base with my mentor first. I think those pads are connected but not 100% sure. You are earning your beer! I would like to send you a pic of the board but I am not sure how. I am on WhatsApp at ++++++++ if I can send you one that way? Or by email? Thanks... I am not on social media, but I will buy you a beer for sure and like your site... great vids...

I will try and help with this problem about Bosch WTV76100 Tumble Dryer
Hi Rob and Gail, it was lovely speaking to you from Canada. I'm sorry for calling you American, but from here, I tend to generalise North America. For desoldering link switches, I use a desoldering station. They aren't costly, but you might not need one often enough to make it worth buying. I use mine every week, so it's useful for me.
The key with link switches is to remove all solder from the joints. If not, extracting the switch can damage the circuit board's copper tracks. Since you've already damaged your board, consider looking for a second-hand WTV76100 Bosch tumble dryer. You can likely find one with a broken heater or drum, but a working circuit board. This would be much cheaper than the $600 they want to charge you for a new board.
It's surprising that manufacturers mark up circuit boards so much when they only cost $20 to $30 to make. I hope this advice helps you fix your machine. If you can't find a suitable board now, store your dryer in the garage until one appears on eBay or another shopping site. Save your searches on these sites so they notify you when a board becomes available.
It's also helpful to find the part number for your tumble dryer so you can search using both the model and part number since people list items differently. Have a great weekend!
