hotpoint cucina dh53ck oven fan huming but the flywheel will not turn

hi paul,my oven fan humes but the flywheel will not turn.it has also started to trip the rcd on the electrics now.i would say its the fan gone but i would appreciate your adviverichard

I will try and help with this problem your Hotpoint dh53ck not heating

I am very sorry for the late response but we were inundated with work over the weekend. the fan should be spinning quite fast as this is what blows the air over the element, I suspect that the Motor bearing maybe seizing but this does not normally cause the electricity to trip unless the windings have gone to earth, I suspect that the element may be going to earth as it is overheated, I have put a couple of videos below to assist you in inspecting the fan motor and testing the element, and the relevant parts for your machine are listed at the bottom you may need a motor and a fan oven element
