Hi Alina, if your fridge freezer struggles to maintain a consistent temperature in the freezer, it's likely that the fridge is getting warm too. This issue is often caused by ice build-up behind the evaporator plate in the freezer section. A fan there helps regulate the temperature in both compartments, but if the defrost system isn't working properly, ice can accumulate and cause problems. The noise you hear might be ice touching the fan blade.

To temporarily fix this, remove all food from the fridge for 24 hours and store it elsewhere. Unplug the appliance and allow it to defrost fully with both doors open. Be sure to place a towel down, as water will come out of the freezer compartment. Once defrosted, try using it again for a few weeks. This might solve the problem, as manually defrosting can clear excess ice.

However, if there's an issue with a sensor or element in the defrost system, the fault could reappear within a couple of weeks. I've seen this happen with various fridge freezers and have included some videos below to demonstrate potential issues.
