LG WM3370HWA Washing Machine Empties But Only Spins At Slow RPM Then Cuts Out
I will try and help with this problem about LG WM3370HWA Washing Machine
Hi Doc, there are usually three main issues with LG washing machines. The first one is the Hall sensor on the motor, which might give wrong information to the circuit board. It's odd that in the United States, these machines are sold with certain parts only. The motor's exploded diagram doesn't show a Hall sensor, but I can assure you it's there. In the UK, these sensors cost around £20 to £30, but I'm not sure about the price in the States.
The second issue is the spline on the back of the drum spider that connects to the motor. Sometimes it can strip out, causing it to spin without gripping onto the spline properly when under load. The third problem could be a faulty printed circuit board.
To fix these issues, start by checking the spline on the motor shaft. If it's in good condition, look at the Hall sensor and consider replacing it. Lastly, if needed, check the printed circuit board, although this could be an expensive repair. When running a test mode, an error related to the Hall sensor might appear, but it could also be an intermittent fault.
