Recently, while changing the heating element of the fan, I created a short circuit with a spark and this caused the fuse to blow. Since then, all functions are OK, BUT although the thermostat light goes off when the desired temperature is reached, it comes on again, together with the oven light, and stays on when the oven cools down completely and all controls are at zero. Are you able to advise please?

Sorry to hear you’ve done this, from the way that you are describing the fault it sounds to me as if you may have done some damage to the selector switch. You can see one of our videos below about selector switches, I suggest you take it off and have a look.

We will need the full model number to help you find the right part like the selector or element as you can see there are a few types
