I will try and help with this problem on your Siemens Condenser Tumble Dryer wt46e381sn/05
Hi David, Siemens condenser tumble dryers might stop within the first few seconds if the water tank indicator is active or the heating system isn't working properly. First, let's check if the drum is turning when you switch on the machine. If it does, we can rule out that issue.
Water collects from the condensing plate into the pump unit and activates a float switch. Ensure this float switch works correctly, as it stops the machine if it thinks the water tank is full. Sometimes these floats can jam, so make sure everything functions properly.
The second issue could be a thermostat not working correctly or a cut-out thermostat on the heating system. If any of these are open circuit, they might trigger this error. It's also good to do an ohms reading test on the heating element to ensure it's in perfect working condition.
If you still face problems, consider uploading a YouTube video and sharing the link with me, as it's hard to diagnose problems without seeing the machine. I've included a couple of videos below to help you service and maintain your tumble dryer. I hope this helps you
