Wonder about prices and shipping time? Thanks. Oh, we do smell sort of a cigarette smell when we took the back off.

Hi Don, I will try and help with your Bosch WTE86300US Tumble Dryer humming problem.
If at the start of the drying cycle the machine hums but does not turn, most likely the capacitor is faulty. Brushless motors like the ones normally fitted to tumble dryer require a starter capacitor to "jump start" the motor. There is a very simple way to verify this. Remove the lid from the machine and the start the program. When you hear the humming noise, push the drum with your hand to get it going. If this works then definitely it is a faulty capacitor. I have included a link in the picture of the capacitor where you can buy it. You will want either 6uF or 6.5uF. Remove old one and get the one that matches yours the closest. I've also included the exploded diagram to help you with the repair. The capacitor is identified with number 0508.
