CDA SA226 Single fan oven Fan and back panel

by / Friday, 14 April 2017 / Published in

After replacing the element I found a rattling noise when my oven warmed up, I worked out that my back panel after heating up would bend inwards and collide with my fan, so I removed the back panel which solved the problem, however now my fan will start and then stop and won't carrying. 1. Do you sell back panels?2. Any idea what is wrong with my fan?Any help would be appreciated!

I will try and help with this problem CDA SA226 Single fan oven

Firstly you should be able to bend your back panel back into shape as it is only warped, this will save you buying a panel as I do not believe you need a new one.
There is a possibility that you may have a weak fan motor this may need replacing.

If the thermostat light is on, the element should be getting hot and the fan motor should be turning, when the light goes out the element stops heating but the fan motor should continue. You will need to monitor this over the course of 20 minutes to make sure it is all functioning correctly, there is also a possibility the element maybe warping under heat and this may be catching the fan blade.

If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me. all the best Paul.
