I will try and help with this problem Hotpoint TVFM70BGP tumble dryer

Hi there 👋, sorry to hear about the trouble with your Hotpoint tumble dryer, model TVFM70BGP. Just a quick note: this model comes in four variations 🔢. To tackle the issue, you'll need your PNC number, which can be found on the ID plate inside the door or on the back of the machine 🔍.

Before replacing the timer make sure that you have checked any NTC sensors, and also make sure that your tumble dryer is not a sensor dry version as this uses moisture sensors which I have done a video on which you can see below.

Here are the variations of this tumble dryer.

It's common for some sensor dry tumble dryers to finish early due to faulty moisture sensors 🌧️. I've discussed this in a video, but your model has a mechanical timer ⏲️. It should count down from 120 minutes. If it's speeding through, it might be a rare case of a faulty timer.

Before considering a timer replacement, check the thermostatic sensors 🌡️. However, based on my experience, the timer might be the culprit. To find the right timer, your PNC number is key, especially since your model has four variations. We stock standard parts like heating elements and filters, but timers are ordered from our European supplier 🇪🇺.

Make sure to use the correct PNC number to get the right timer. If electrical work isn't your thing, consulting a professional is a wise move 🔌👷‍♂️.

I've added some videos and diagrams below for extra help 🎥📊. Wishing you the best of luck with your dryer repair! 🍀

This video is only on tumble dryers fitted with moisture sensors. It may not be applicable to your model but do check as sometimes customers do not give me all the correct information and this type of fault does sound like a humidity sensor problem as it's rare for the timer to have this type of fault
