I will try and help with this problem...
this is normally a common problem with the top oven if you are using it as a grill then the door must be fully open if you leave the door only slightly open then all the Heat will be funneled toWards the control panel.
also if the thermostat is not working correctly and is on full power all the time this also may be a problem.
