Hi Tom!

If your Neff U15E42N0GB Electric Double Oven is not heating or tripping the electric supply there is a good chance that the fan oven element has blown. I have included some videos below to help you test and then replace the element. Also I have include a link here for list of parts for your Neff U15E42N0GB Electric Double Oven cooker.

For your future reference I’ve included some Common faults with these Neff U15E42N0GB Electric Double Oven cookers to assist you in the future or anyone else reading this.

  • The oven will not turn on
The first thing you need to check is that the oven timer is not on auto if it is turn it on to manual.
  • No Heat in Oven
If the fan is running and the thermostat light comes on but you get no heat (or just the thermostat light on in non-fan ovens and cookers) then the probability is that the fan element or oven elements have failed.
  • Electricity trips (Rcd) when I turn the oven on or grill
This is normally an element that has gone to earth, This is a well-known fault with electric ovens, the insulation breaks down in the elements and trips the RCD , best way is to stick a meter on each element and check that they have not got earth leaks on them. But this can also be a wiring fault.
  • The grill element doesn't work
This would usually indicate that the grill element is faulty. Check these: Grill element, Oven changeover switch, Overheat thermostat, Main oven thermostat, if used to regulate the grill temperature.
  • The oven fan is not working or spinning correctly (slow) or is noisy
The fan motor may need to be replaced see video on this also the cooling fan motor can cause same problems.
  • The oven overheats and burns everything
Normally this is a simple thermostat failure which would manifest itself as this symptom.
  • The oven or cooker cuts out after it's been on for a while
This is an overheating problem which can be caused by the fan motor or main oven thermostat or a faulty safety thermostat that will be causing the problem. It can also be caused by a failure of the cooling fan, where fitted, but usually these go noisy before failing, Safety thermostats are used to prevent the oven or cooker overheating and will shut the oven down.

    Hi

After power cut the lower oven will not work – no heat, no light. The Auto light is on and won’t go off. How do I turn it back to manual?

Our U15M52N3GB/04 double oven has a fault, the bottom oven has ceased working. None of the options work, fan, bottom element, grille etc, is this likely to be a relay/circuit within the control panel rather than an element (id presume if the oven element had blown the grille would work for example).

    Hi,
I have a single fan oven with built in grill.
My oven clock works correctly and the fan comes on when the function knob is turned to a setting, however I get no function light illuminated, the oven light does not come on and the thermostat/ temperature light does not come on. I have tried this with both grill and oven functions and get no heat from them. I have checked the bulb and this is fine.
I’m wondering is there an internal protection mechanism if there is a fault element or elements? Any other ideas?
    Cheers.

    I have a neff oven model. HBB-AP 32- 7
Power is on via oven isolator switch ..set clock ok
Turn fan and light on…..all ok
Select grille or oven on rotary knob
Turn temperature knob clockwise to temperature
Then whole house main rcd switch trips out and all power lost
Turn isolator switch for oven off
    Reset rcd……all ok

Seems illogical that both oven and grille elements are faulty or is it something else?
