why no bearings on Hoover Optima WMH 147 DF drum
Hello Paul: Do you stock drum bearings for the Hoover Optima WMH 147 DF. The washer is getting a bit more noisy, not spin drying and leave minute oil stains on clothing so I presume it's the bearings need replacing but i cant find out how to split the drum?
Peter
Hi Peter
This machine has a welded drum and they are charging over £200 for it.
I have been doing repairs for 30 years and think it is disgusting that the manufacture does this, there is no saving on the way that they make the drum like this, and there is only few bolts that they save them few pennies. We are meant to be caring about the environment but now most of the manufactures are doing these welded drums to build in obsolesce. Washing Machine should be able to be repaired where possible
I would advise all our customers and viewers to make sure when buying a new washing machine that they ask the sales man/woman (is the drum welded or can I change the drum bearings) and I not find one that can be done. Avoid all manufactures that build machines like this as they are deliberately building them this way so they only last so many cycles
you can order this part but i think it is too much
