Hoover Vented Tumble Dryer VHV781C-80 No Heat

Hi, Thank you for your guide, I have been through the various steps of the guide, but to say I am a little puzzled is an understatement. I tested all thermostats and had continuity over all of them. I tested the heater, (i think correctly) plus (by mistake) I managed to put my fingers on the heater element and got an electric shock (oh dear!) so I know I have power to the heater assembly. I just cant seem to find a reason for it not heating. On the PCB board, I noticed the relay you change in your board was slightly discoloured (looks like heat damage) and I could notice a spark from inside the relay after a couple of moments of operation.

Does this sound like a relay failure? If every other sensor is good? We had a power failure (unsure why, could have been overload, blew a 13A fuse, the dryer and washing machine are on the circuit) but washing machine is fine.

I can obviously get the part number off the relay if needed and solder the item, if this is the problem, where is the best place to get them?

Thanks,

Rob.

My Hoover VHV680C-80 tumble dryer is not heating, element and temp. sensor tested and ok. what can it be?

Hi JosephDouble check the heating element, and also check again the front stat if the pcb is not getting the right reading it will not heat up. when you have checked that the wiring is good and ntc and heater then it might be a fault with the pcb
