I will try and help with this problem about Beko DRVT71W Vented Tumble Dryer
Hi Brian, I'm sorry to hear about your Beko tumble dryer DRV-T71W troubles, especially during a bank holiday weekend. You mentioned replacing the capacitor but now hear a clicking noise when pressing the start button. This usually signifies an activated door lock and the machine attempting to start, but with no success.
Unfortunately, without seeing the tumble dryer, it's difficult for me to diagnose the issue. The door lock system and pin mechanism may be involved, as they activate the door and energise the motor and heater when you press start. A suggestion would be to record the problem using your mobile phone, upload it to YouTube, and send me the link so I can take a look.
As it's challenging to help based on this brief description, I've provided some resources for you. I've uploaded exploded diagrams of your machine to show component locations, attached videos about Beko tumble dryer issues, and obtained a wiring diagram and diagnostic test procedure from the manufacturer. These may help identify errors similar to yours and offer a test procedure to follow.
I'm sorry I can't provide more assistance right now, but feel free to upload a YouTube video for me to better help you.
