Beko WM94145W Washing Machine Won’t Start
Beko WM94145W Washing Machine wouldn’t start, unless you banged the door 100x. Replaced the lock it started straight away, water flowed and cleared the powder, however then there was a click and it stopped. The door could be opened straight away. I took the seal off again and turned the connection around, (it fitted both ways although your video said it should only fit one way), now it isn’t working at all. Any suggestions? Is the lock I bought through Amazon faulty? Thanks, Sophia

I will try and help with this problem about Beko WM94145W Washing Machine
Hi Sophia,
It doesn't sound good that you've switched the cabling around on the door lock, as this can cause a short and damage the circuit board. However, without seeing the machine, I can't be sure if any harm has been done.
The door lock for your machine is listed below. You should be aware that the plug should only go in one way, as it has location lugs on it. There are usually three wires attached: one is the common, one is the power feed, and the other goes to the circuit board. If these were swapped around, you might be causing a short.
Since you mentioned having to bang the original door hundreds of times, this could be due to a faulty connection in the door lock or the pecker unit not locating correctly. This might happen if the door hinge has dropped slightly or if the pin isn't locating within the lock correctly.
These types of faults are hard to diagnose through email. If I had your machine in front of me, I could give you a better answer. I doubt that the lock is faulty, but I'm not sure if you bought the correct one for your Beko WM94145W washing machine in the first place.
I've found the correct part number for your machine and some exploded diagrams to help you in the future. There are also some videos below to assist you with repairs on your Beko washing machine. I hope this helps a bit, but unfortunately, I can't give a 100% answer based on your email description alone.
