Are you finding  that your Beko Washing machine is boiling your clothes? Are your clothes really hot when they come out of the wash?

This can indicate a fault with the heater element in the machine being stuck ON. The heater has a constantly active error. 

The heating element should have the following specifications when tested. 

  • Operating Voltage : 230VAC 50-60 Hz
  • Power : 1950W
  • Resistance : 26W ± 3ohms When the resistance is measured with a multi meter, The reading should be approximately 26ohms.

How to repair a Beko Washing machine with an E3 error code.

  1. Is the machine displaying E3?
  2. For easy measurement, remove the top of the machine and the main control panel and locate the heater connector. KN5
  3. Check short circuit between KN5 connector pins 1 and 2 on the control panel. Is it short circuited? If Yes replace control panel board. If No proceed to step 4 
  4. At the rear of the machine open the rear cover. Measure the heating element resistance of the heater terminals; the resistance should be around 25 Ohms? If NO replace the heating element. If yes proceed to step 5
  5. Does the heater function although there is no water? If No restart the machine. If yes proceed to step 6 
  6. Locate and check the water level sensor. With the machine empty, measure the frequency between pins 1 and 2 It should be around 25700 Hertz when the machine is energised.
