       Hi Becky! You first need to check the belt, then see the other videos i have put below (although they are not specific to Hoover models, the principle is the same in all condenser tumble dryers) to help you find your problem with your Hoover VHC681B  condenser dryer, also if belt is good see video on capacitor

    Hi Jane   Hi jane if you have a hoover tumble dryer is not turning.The humming noise that you can hear is the motor trying to start without a good capacitor the motor will not start and you will hear a humming noise. As you say with a little bit of assistance in other words  pushing the drum the
