Hi, Would you happen to have any videos on how to replace the selector knob which is freespinning. A repair person told me over the phone that it would not be cost effective to replace as he would need to replace the entire circuit board. I cannot afford to replace the washing machine so was going to try the knob first. Big thank you for the door switch video too.it was very useful.

I will try and help with your Ariston Aqualtis AQ7L05U AUS 80623770000 washing machine problem 

If the Selector knob on the control panel is free spinning thin can either be the plastic shaft broken on the pcb or it can be the kbob fixing itself that is broken. The only way to find that out is to open up the front panel and remove the pcb and the selector knob. I was unable to find the pcb for your model, but the selector knob is readily available.
