Belling Country Range 928CA made in 2003 Keeps tripping the fusebox, and not able to switch it back on unless i leave the fan oven’s off and the clock in the front of the cooker it doesnt want to set the time it has been like that for a few years only because i don’t know how to set it
Hi Paul i spoke to you in the morning I have a Belling Cooker it has 8 rings and 2 ovens. The oven that has the grill in it use to trip out the fusebox so we stopped using it for years then it started working again then 2 weeks ago the main oven which we use regular tripped the fusebox and it wouldn't switch the fuse box back on so we had to leave the oven switched off, and use only the gas cooker on the top please can you help. i did take quite a few pictures to see if it would help but there is no where i can see to download the pictures which would show you the exact details, If there is a way to download the pictures please let me have the email address and i will send them tooG.C. Good afternoon I'm sorry for the late response.
let's deal with each issue one by one.
- firstly this screws in the oven look very corroded this means that you will either have to cut a slot into the end of them so you can fit a screwdriver or sometimes you can use a sharp pair of pin snips to undo them, or you will have to drill them out and replace them with a larger size.
- you need to do a test on all the elements to find out which ones are blown.
- you would normally use an insulation testing meter to find out which one is going to Earth but not all people have one of these available to them so the only way to test them is visually inspected. or it is possible to isolate an element and then test to see if it trips the electric but please do not attempt this unless you are competent with Electrics if you are not please find someone to assist you.
