Bosch wtv76100 Tumble Dryer Dies a few minutes into the cycle
HI There,Sorry, I sent this in as a comment and then saw that I should ask the question through contact us...Great videos. I have a bosch dryer wtv76100.It starts drying and then after about 5 minutes it suddenly dies with no warning or flashing lights. I have tested pretty much all other parts of the machine and have come to the conclusion it is probably the lnk switch on the PCB. There does not seem to be any damage but I am pretty much out of ideas at this point. I am not too handy with a soldering iron but can’t seem to find anyone who repairs boards close by… I have ordered the part and am about to dive in and was just wondering if you have any further thoughts or advice? Thanks in advance!

I will try and help with this problem Bosch wtv76100 Tumble Dryer
Before we decide the circuit board is faulty, let's perform a few checks on the Bosch WTV76100 tumble dryer. In the back right-hand corner, there's an electronic suppressor cum filter with two wires connected to the printed circuit board. During testing, check the voltage coming from this filter, as it might have a hairline fracture causing power supply issues when high amperage is drawn.
If the voltage is fine and reaches the circuit board, then it could be the link switch or a dry soldering joint on the board. Take it apart and inspect for dry joints, which can fail when the heater pulls a high load. It's difficult to see if a link switch has failed; you'll need to examine its side with a magnifying glass for any residue leakage around its joining seal.
You could try replacing the link switch, which costs around £5-£6, but ensure it's the correct one for your machine as they're usually surface-mounted. The challenge with Bosch tumble dryers is that their circuit boards have tiny diodes and resistors, making them hard to check.
It might be worth searching on eBay or other shopping channels using your model number to find a tumble dryer with a different fault so you can swap out the circuit boards. Many WTV76100 tumble dryers use similar circuit boards across models, but it's best to find one specific to your machine using its full model number (e.g., WTV76100EU/??) found on the identification plate.
