Once machine is put on to wash, it clicks and then the error message F15 appears and nothing happens.

I will try and help with your Hotpoint RD 1076 JD UK Washer Dryer Fault.

Usually F15 is a Heater control fault. Washer Dryers is not heating water or pauses during a wash cycle / not drying or pauses during drying cycle. A fault with the dryer element could be caused by the element itself, faulty wiring, module connections or the thermostats.

First obvious thing to check is the element itself using a multimeter. I have included a video on how to test elements and some other to help service your machine.
