Hotpoint WMF 720 P (UK).R Door interlock and wiring loom

When the door is closed the machine does not recognise that it is. I've removed the interlock and found that along with the looms plug to be burnt out

I will try and help with this problem your Hotpoint WMF720P Washing Machine lock 

Good afternoon Christopher, I have listed all the parts that you need​ below, including the wiring loom connection, and I have also included a video to show you how door locks work​ and how to replace a door lock. You can only do this without having to remove the front panel you will just be able to peel back the door seal and replace the door interlock and by taking the lid off will give you enough space to follow the wiring back. I hope this helps.
