Stoves 600 DFDOa cooker the Oven Stays on when turned off

by / Wednesday, 10 June 2020 / Published in

My oven stays on sometimes even when I turn selector switch off. Can only turn off by switching off at mains and back on again, then stays off. Thermostat seems to work correctly while cooking turning neon off and on to maintain temperature. When turning off fan stops working but after an hour of so it still feels warm at the back of the oven, and maintains that warm to touch feeling all night. Is this likely to be the main selector switch? There must be a relay that is stuck on and is only corrected by power off at mains. And advice and can you provide part for my model

I will try and help with this problem Stoves 600 DFDOa cooker

when you first turn the power on to the Cooker and set the timer you need to keep a close eye on the neon light for the main thermostat. if this light comes on when the thermostat is in the off position, then the thermostat is allowing power to go through to the elements this could be the problem, or you may have a problem with the selector switch you need to inspect the selection switch for any burned connections and also inspect the Armature, i have included a video below to show you what to look for on the selector switches, I have also put a full list of parts available for your Appliance below but when it comes to the selector switch please make sure you match the number that is written on the selector switch. I've sent you an email with my personal telephone number if you need any further assistance

please note you need your product number when ordering parts for stoves
