If your washing machine has a leak or the seal has just gone mouldy with black marks on it then you might need to replace it and fit a new one

To order your door seal you will need your full model number. (This is normally around the washing machine door frame on a sticker)

If your washing machine has a leak or the seal has just gone mouldy with black marks on it then you might need to replace it and fit a new one.

This video will show you a step by step procedure on how to replace a washing machine door seal or gasket on a Balay, Bosch, Neff or Siemens.

1 – Disconnect the power on the Bosch, Neff , Siemens or Balay appliance. Make sure you’re
unplugged from the mains before you do any work on an electrical appliance.

2 – Remove the lid on your Bosch, Neff or Siemens washing machine.

3 – Remove the tension ring under the rim of the seal at the front

4 – Flip the whole seal into the drum and undo screws the hold the door interlock in place.

5 – Then take of the front panel as in the video, (Everything may be laid out slightly differently on your make and model but it should give you a good idea of how easy it is to replace a Bosch, Neff or Siemens door seal.) you can also see other videos on different makes.

6 – Remove the counter balance weight; this will make the job a lot easier for you.

7 – Remove the tension ring holding the seal to the outer tub or drum.

8 – Reverse of the process to put your new.

    Brilliant you tube, thanks

  2. A superb tutorial, I have to say many thanks, I struggled quite a bit before I found your site but changed the door seal nearly as quickly as you!!! (only joking!) I will recommend your site to my mates anytime.

    Thanks, great tutorial!

I used it to fix my Bosch Maxx 6/WAE28360NL which is a bit more recent model than the one in the video. Couple of small differences:
-Removal of the bottom panel went quite easy (seems to have been made easier)
-Front panel has 4 instead of 2 screws which need to be removed

Otherwise followed instructions as provided with excellent results. Hardest part was me trying to put the gasket on the wrong side over the inner ring. Strang that it doesn’t fit that way 😀

    Great, thanks a lot.
This guide also help on similar Siemense IQ300 machine. The control panel is different, and also the bottom panel. But in general it is quite similar

Thanks very much. Awesome video with step by step clear instructions. I managed albeit with some difficulty to replace the door seal on my Bosch Maxx WFO 2430 washing machine — no more water leakage 😊
