siemens WK14D320GB/01 washing machine tripped electrics when dryer put on

Put the dryer on and the RCD tripped. I then reset and turned machine on. I am now getting the error code E13. I watched your video on locking mechanisms because i found a link (See at End) that said the E13 was because of locking mechanism. The locks appear to work though and clicks several times when the machine is switched on

If your machine is tripping the electric only when you select the dryer then you may have one of a couple of faults. It is possible you may have a shorted wire, but I suspect you may have a problem with the heating element - it may have gone to Earth. You will need an insulation tester to test the element, but you could disconnect it and then turn the dryer on to see if it still trips. Make sure that you unplug the appliance and isolate the wires correctly before attempting this. I have included an exploded diagram of your dryer unit. It is possible that the motor may have failed also but you will need to check these components individually.
