AEG T65170AV Tumble dryer Not heating

by / Wednesday, 16 November 2022 / Published in

Prod No: 916095259Drier, not heating, thought it may be element so purchased a replacement via yourselves and followed the tutorial on replacing the part. The new element seemed to work for a couple of wash loads then failed. Spoke with Paul who got me to check the elements and thermostats on the element block. These all tested fine on ohm meter. Elements appear to be fine / heat goes to the drum area when I run machine on diagnostic. Can you assist me here please. I may need to buy another part if required. If you need further info, please get in touch. Thanks & RegardsDerek

I will try and help with this problem AEG T65170AV Tumble dryer Not heating

from what you described on the telephone I still believe it is either a bad connection or you either have a thermostat faulty or a faulty NTC sensor at the front of the machine but on some occasions, the relay may become faulty on the circuit board.

HEATER CHANGE IN VENTED TUMBLE DRYERS.

DESCRIPTION:
The TH1 modification in heaters 1257533xx implies the change of working temperature from 92°C to
75°C. Because of this, increased sensitivity to filter dirtying may be observed.
The dirty filter may cause disrupted heater work during drying cycle combined with dryer’s lower overall
working temperature. This causes a significant decrease in drying efficiency.
At the end of the drying cycle alert ‘E62’ will be displayed.
SOLUTION:
To improve drying efficiency it is necessary to clean the filter and turn the dryer off for several minutes
in order to cool down the heater below reset temperature (~67°C).
